A week 10 meal plan

So far week 9 has gone OK – managing to stick to keto freezer things and salads. Ventured out and made myself some mayo in the Thermomix, was awesome and will keep using it!

Not dealing with people observing my choices

Today I nearly went postal on my Dad. He made a very nice and pleasant comment, along the lines of ‘You and (partner’s) low carb looks to be working really well’.

SO innocuous, and I bit the poor guys head off. No commentary on my efforts, I screeched at him.

Really can’t deal with it. Its like reinforcing how disgusting I am, that I am having to do something about it.

Sometimes I wish really hard that I had an invisibility cloak or cloaking device or just something so I could appear invisible or camouflaged.

UGH

Week 9 meal plan

Little bit different this week, as my partner is away for work from Monday lunch time to Friday dinner. I am going to eat freezer food. Lots of meatballs and bits of taco mince etc in there, plenty for me to cobble together.

Week 8 Meal Plan!

And here it is. This time the carryover champion (Sale of the Century reference, yes) is Hamburger casserole.

Past week has been a little annoying with me having a cold for a lot of it, and littlest child being sick too. Am concerned that being sick will cause a halt in weightloss.

Been discussing meal plan with PT and going to consider tweaking my calories down again a little, to around 5,500kj for the day. Also going to look for ways to have non-dairy healthy fat options. BUT CHEESE. We shall see.

Biggest hiccup this week is going to be Sunday when we are having a quasi Christmas BBQ event.

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday
Brunch Smoky Ranch chicken salad Bacon crustless quiche Ham and salad Chicken burgers with avocado cheese and lettuce Capsicum pizzas Smoky Ranch chicken salad Christmas BBQ Parents
Dinner Cheesy hamburger casserole Mexican beef mince taco bowl Chicken breast, ham, tomato and cheese (parma style) with broccoli Beef ragu with garlic buttered mug bread Costco burgers with cheese, lettuce, tomato Keto fried chicken with baked cauliflower Bacon crustless quiche
Snacks Vegemite and cheese scone Baked Zucchini fries Vegemite and cheese scone Quest bar or cookie Cheese and twiggy sticks Vegemite and cheese scone Almond Milk Latte

A bit wobbly

It was our son’s birthday on Sunday, and we ate a piece of his birthday cake. This was done on purpose. It worked out around 40 carbs just for the cake, and we ate things like salad, sausages and an almond milk latte, so definitely over carbs for the day.

The next day was REALLY hard. I don’t know if its because it was my first appointment with a personal trainer at the gym, where I was weighed and measured, and failed to have blood pressure checked because of my fat arm.

Maybe it was the fact I thought I could catch a train into and home from the city to watch a movie. LOL. There is a reason I couldn’t do it for work. I ended up in tears on the platform. Fun times.

I was also more hungry than usual yesterday. I very nearly didn’t cook and was going to tell my partner to just have whatever for tea. He would have ordered pizza which would have been a terrible idea.

But I didn’t. I came downstairs, tidied the kitchen and cooked us some food.

Today has been better. I was still hungry this morning though.

‘Self care’ led to gorging

I’ve been doing lots of things that most people would probably consider basic bodily maintenance, like the podiatrist.

Today was the optometrist. I have always had glasses but haven’t had new ones in five years. The ones I do have were a $7 zenni pair – I bought 3 but my favourite green ones vanished, these are red.

So today my script was done. It’s worse, apparently, but I don’t really need reading glasses yet. Just distance.

Picked out two new frames which are completely covered by health insurance – some blue metal frames and lilac plastic ones. Also for my script written out so I can grab some more cheapies.

However, the experience took way too long and pressed my buttons. I came home and shoveled crackers, cheese and liverwurst into my mouth. Should fit macros but it wasn’t good to eat my feelings.

Got keto friendly takeaway

Yesterday afternoon and evening was ridiculous. Instead of spending from 5-6 cooking and eating, I spent from 4.45-8.00pm picking up my partner from work in the city.

On the way home, the children all complained about being hungry. As they hadn’t had any fast food for the past 4 weeks either, we decided to get them a happy meal each.

For us we ordered double quarter pounders with cheese, no bun. No drink or anything. High-ish in calories but fit within my daily limit, and for the whole day I only had about 8 carbs. Winning. Wasn’t hungry afterwards and did not miss the bun one bit.

This week is also a bit stuffed around as my partner is going away overnight for a conference and I hadn’t factored that into the meal plan. Will leave one of my meals for a later date (the ramen) and as I can’t give him the leftover casserole for lunch on Wednesday I will have it for tea on Tuesday instead.
